I don't believe in age limits. Parenting doesn't start or end on a specific date. Yes, they are my friends but I am still their father who provide advice, guidance and financial support.
"From 5 to 10 = Keep under pressure" - requires some elaboration. Children should be dealt quite delicately during this tenure. Pressure & relaxation are to be personalised skillfully and to be adjusted according to the realtime scenerio & specific perspectives.

I don't think , parents have to guide kids for a long long time (I am an exception :)
Truth is all thy can do is love the kids and value them so they can grow up to be strong and confident adults ....this is perennial

They need to exposes their child to age-appropriate challenges to encourage development as well as to experiences that allow the child to explore on their own and learn from interacting with their environment.
In my opinion, children need to be closely watched and guided till 16 and one may look and act like a friend once child is in college.
