Hello everyone,

I'm working with an LP980 Transient Absorption Spectrometer from Edinburgh Instruments and would greatly appreciate some guidance on the calibration process.

I'm particularly interested in the following:

Time-Zero Calibration: What are the best practices for accurately determining the "time-zero" point between the pump laser pulse and the probe light arrival at the sample?

Wavelength Calibration: For both the kinetic (PMT) and spectral (ICCD) modes, what standard samples or procedures do you recommend for accurate wavelength calibration of the monochromator?

DeltaOD Calibration: What is the most reliable method to calibrate the change in optical density (DeltaOD) and ensure the measurements are accurate across the full dynamic range?

Are there specific standards or test samples you use?

General Advice: Are there any common pitfalls or specific routines you follow to maintain the long-term accuracy and stability of the system?

I've consulted the user manual, but I'm looking for practical tips and real-world experience from those who regularly use this instrument.

Any help or insights you can offer would be extremely valuable. Thank you in advance
