I have tried various protocols which are recommended in tissues containing a high amount of non protein secondary metabolites and polyphenols but still I could not get a good protocol which works with brown algae. Can anyone suggest some protocols? The big problem I am experiencing is slimy non dissolvable protein pellet at the end which is not even dissolving in SDS containing Tris buffer.
