I am using A64 Allwinner chip in my SoC. And boot Debian on it. Everything is working good but when I play any video from internet, the chip become too hot.
I checked the temperature with lm-sensors, processor temperature reaches 75C and sometime higher. Also I checked the CPU usage with psensor, processor usage also goes upto 98% (check the attached picture) My question is that what could be the reason? As at normal or it is because of overclocking, or any other reason?
I did the testing and I think this temperature is normal.
I used Debian on my SoC.
Allwinner A64 has three thermal zones, and critical temperature is 110 C.
To view the type of trip points and the trip point temperatures of thermal zone 0 use the following command:
cat /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone0/trip_point*
In my case the output was:
75 C
passive
90 C
Hot
110 C
critical
And the best thing is that Debian Automatically use lower frequency rate by defaut when temperature is Higher than 70 C. This is what I observe during my test.
