I have a WorldView 3 image with multispectral (only 8 bands, Coastal, Blue, Green, Yellow, Red, Rededge, NIR1, NIR2) and panchromatic band. I can open one of them (either multispectral or panchromatic) without any problem in ENVI 5.4. But when I open both images in a single ENVI window, both multispectral and panchromatic bands get distorted (looks like both are projected to a different coordinate system). Both images are in Geographic coordinate system- GCS_WGS_1984, Datum- D_WGS_1984. Can anyone help me to fix this problem?
Generally, I'll suggest you open the data in an environment where the dataframe properties is or have been preset to a particular coordinate system/datum of your choice. Try this first.
Eneche, Thank you for your post. I created a dataframe in ArcGIS with the coordinate system and datum (WGS_1984_UTM_Zone_17N and WGS_1984). Then I added my images to the dataframe (I think this is how you suggested). Still the image is distorted. Did I do it correctly?

@Tharindu, still observe the multispectral and panchromatic scenes again when you import them individually. Two things may be wrong: projection or cordinate system file of the raw data may have been affected or the transformation algorithm has not been properly set. I suggest you reproject both to a new coordinate system/datum in the same 'preset' environment you prepared earlier. Apart from using ENVI, have you tried loading your data in ArcGIS??

Eneche, I tried loading my data to ArcGIS and it still shows same distortion. I did something to overcome from this problem. First I imported another image which is in “WGS 1984 UTM zone 17N” to an empty ENVI window. Then I imported my WorldView 3 image to the same ENVI window. Now the image is in right shape. Therefore I projected the WorldView 3 image to “WGS 1984 UTM zone 17N” in ENVI. Then the result image got slightly distorted. My image is in 1B level. Can this level be a cause for the problem with projection? Now I can work with this image. But still I am getting problems with masking and overlying shapefiles on the image. Masks and shapefiles distort and shift from the image.
Sorry for this @Tharindu. Your WV-3 data may have an issue still. Additional checks will be to study the property of the data, particularly the cell size, data extent, coordinate system etc. More importantly, you also need to check the transformation that pops-up when u import your data in ArcGIS, apart from projecting it, there are upto 13 (if not more) transformation levels that you could apply until you get a better result. Please still try these on the data but I wish I could also lay hands on it to, to be on same page with you.

Dear you do not have any problem with them but, I think you forget that multi-spectral and Pan bands are different in spatial resolution for that you see in some how they do not register
