Dear all,
I have a text file which I am trying to input in ANSYS by *VREAD,array_data,filename,txt,--,IJK,number of rows,number of columns.
But when I am trying to read the file it is showing some errors like:
212290.9 is not a recognized BEGIN command, abbreviation, or macro.
This command will be ignored.
Actually, 21229 is the first column value and 0.9 is the part of 2nd column value. The same is happening for all other rows as well.I am not sure why they are merging as such ? I am not sure how to change the format for the same.
Do I need to change the format for the input text file or is their any other command before VREAD that I need to execute so that I can change the format. I think it is the problem with delimiter but not sure. Please help.
N.B: this text file has been generated as a result file from ANSYS APDL only.

I suggest you to use neural matrix exchange formats, ie. MMF. It is easier and reduces your chance of doing any mistake at indices. Most of programming languages support MMF format,or has libraries to use it.
What is your exact *VREAD line?
Are you trying to run command within Ansys APDL interface? for commands with asteriks, (*READ,*VREAD .. etc) you must run commands via submitting an input file.
Have you checked command reference of *VREAD?
Try one of the following:
- before VREAD, enter the pre- or post-processing by issuing /PREP7 or /POST1 etc
- save your VREAD file as a separate macro file .mac and then, in the main apdl script, issue the command to use the macro
