Pre and post estimation tests for PPMLHDFE?

i intend to run PPMLHDFE command for my (unbalanced) panel data set arranged in long form. should i proceed straight forward or do i need to do some pre estimation tests. also what are the post estimation tests that i need to run. i know some post estimation tests like predict, margin etc but i do not know what they are meant for and how to interpret them.
