Possible primer sets for glucose (xylose) isomerase genes?

Are there known primer sets for glucose (xylose) isomerase genes that can work on family 1 bacterial GI (XI) genes? Mostly in research papers, primers specific to a particular species are specified rather than general. Is there anyone working on the same topic who can help me?
