Hello!

In a paper I read that bacterial populations were reduced by so-called log-cycles. e.g.:

"L. monocytogenes using an exposure of 60 s in a domestic microwave led to a reduction of 6 log cycles".

I assume this means that if a popultion reproduces e.g. 6 times then a reduction by 6 cycles means that only one bacterium is left?
