I v read one article relate to prebiotic but there is one mechanism i wanna inquire about, in that article the food substance have undergone to digestion system by gastric acid juice and pancreatic amylase . then , they could measure the indigestible pollysacchride that contain complex of carbohydrate involving short , long oligo beside non starch polysacchride . in order to get information only about the indigestibe pollysachhride (oligo) without interfering non-starch polyssacchride they v undergone the substance for sulpheric acid digestion, which after measuring the total sugar after digestion, so my question is that why did they get information regarding just oligo when they expose the sample for sulpheric acid digestions??
