The political approach in mathematical modeling refers to the use of mathematical techniques and models to analyze and understand political systems, policies, and decision-making processes. It involves applying quantitative methods to study various aspects of politics, such as voting behavior, public opinion, policy analysis, and game theory.

The best and probably easiest mathematical approaches to understand social dynamics, policies, and decision making is probably evolutionary game theory and agent-based modelling (depending on the complexity of the model and whether you require a closed-form solution).
