I am about to submit my manuscript. I was considering either PNAS or elife. Both journals are a good match for my research area. Personally what journal would you submit your paper in terms of reputation, higher impact and etc?
I had review experience with both and eLife reviews are both more fair and more relevant in my opinion. Also the reviewer comments and your responses will be published which makes the process more transparent. While academia is stuck on impact factor, it doesn't reflect the quality of the journal, it measures trendiness.
