Area of focus: Ceramics, oxides and oxide nanomaterials, ceramics for energy applications (Lithium ion batteries or Photovoltaic applications), Electroceramics, Defect Chemistry, modelling and simulation (neural networks, fuzzy logic, evolutionary algorithms) or some problem which may be of industrial importance. I have NO interest in Steel making, alloys or polymeric systems. I have very little interest in tribological and rheological studies.

I think that is something you need to discuss with your advisor. They are the best position to know what topic best suits your strengths and the department's strengths. You do not pick a thesis topic based on forum comments made by people you do not know and who do not you or your department and advisor.
You need to explore resources and equipments which are available in your lab or neighborhood too. Thermal expansion and conductivity could be an interesting area for all kinds of modern nano-materials applications.
Dear Prashant Sahu, I agree to all mentioned above, taking in to account that, you cna take a look on lightweight structures: syntactic foam, ceramic foams,e.t.c. + composite material + nano admixtures. From technological point of view here a plenty field for work. Remember: everything what is moving (auto, plane, train, space ship) is consuming the energy (energy=money!). Light and durable materials always will be is an challenge for chemists, engineers and others scientists. . .
