Every day students or maybe even "scientists" post questions on RG, when they should in fact either try harder, read, think, and/or try again - before posting a question on RG. The point with RG - as far as I can see - is NOT to be a quick route to the solution of an assignment!
Stop posting phishing messages, please, and instead talk with your colleagues. I have spoken.:-)

often questions are related to basics that can taken directly from WIkipedia.

Wikipedia is also a bad source - as their articles typically are rather shallow, especially regarding science.
Michael Patriksson Sometimes information Wikipedia has extremely good detailed and other times it is shallow. It is hit or miss not always a bad source and it generally has a list of references that can be used to find more detailed/legitimate sources, In most cases it is a good first step usually accurate but also shallow - which is often good enough.
Michael, allow me to play devil's advocate.
I think trying to utilize any and all sources at your disposal is a resourceful method of problem solving. You mention to talk with your colleauges, well the younger people (students and young, inexperienced scientists) increasingly view not only those that occupy their lab as colleauges, but anyone they are able to reach via technology as well. So, I think it is simply a manner of perspective. I suppose, also, that some may be scared or embarrased to ask silly questinos to their direct colleauges and feel more anyonymous in an online setting.
With the above in mind, I completely agree many of the questions are unnecessary, and could be solved with deeper thinking or just a small amount of research.

No. There will always be silly questions, as well as as phishing questions. My advise is always to think again, and again, and then perhaps ask someone who you trust, and try look it up in a trusted source.
Dear Professor, I totally agree with you, in my opinion whatever through the necessary questions or sharing the different information the Researchegat platform must be used in order to get the experience from the researchers which can be difficult to find elsewhere. I think also that once avoid post silly/phishing questions it can be a kind of scientific reputation preservation.
