That's correct Shirin. I co-wrote a qualitative study quite recently for this journal. It would have been a similar length at around 6000 words - but I found that it was worth summarising it to get acceptance in one of the better quality journals on CAM.
If you could summarized the manuscript a little my suggestion is as follows:

Bit a difficult to answer. Elsevier, Taylor and Francis, Cambridge Journals and Springer are among top publisher with journals having high impact factors. They all publish research article free of cost but are not open access. However, these publishers also publish some open access journals or a research articles on choice, but they need article processing charge etc. Most of the open access journal required publication/processing charge.
Therefore, I suggest you to publish your article in Elsevier, Springer or other reputed publishing houses having journals with high impact factor. Just refer to their website, you will get numbers of journals with high impact factor.
