Above sample was collected from the intertidal regions of Visakhapatnam coast, East coast of India.
Identifying crustose lichens from macroscopic images is almost impossible - even when they are in focus and you have some idea what part of the world they are from. I'm not even convinced this is a lichen - it looks more like a crustose alga.
My apologies - I didn't notice the locality information above. I still think it is probably an alga.

Dear Dr. Rao, I tend to agree with Alan. There are two species with different morphology (the fruticose you point to and a crustose one) but they look rather like red algae then like lichens. Anyway the determination is hardly possible without data on its fruitbodies, spores, anatomy, algal component and secondary chemistry.
Thank you Dr Alexander for your kind input, I will go for anatomy of this specimen.
