Dear Ahmad.

1: Copy only the data and not the description headers to individual text files. for example if you have 4 type data S11-S14, copy each of them to individual text files.

2: Open each of them with excel and save them in xlsx format like S11.xlsx

3: Read each xls file in a m-file with xlsread command like S11 = xlsread('S11.xlsx').

4: Now you have vectors that is the 1st one is ferquency(GHz), 2nd one is real(S) and 3rd one is imaganary(S).  and you can plot easily S vs frequency.

you can manually copy the data points in respect to frequency points (copy both). then you can process them, it is not so complex. 

for the read of these data files, you can use the s-parameters tool box provided by Matlab. 

You can search the mathworks website and download it.

You can directly copy data from file and use it.

Second way, you can form separate file according to matlab extension (.m ) and call this file by making function in matlab coding. It's simple and easy to handle.

you should export the files. and after that you should import thm in matlab and chqnge them to a matrix. if you nedd th matlab code aware me to send you an example.

I'm new in Antenna design and i want to Simulate an MLWA using CST Microwave Studio.

The complet name of this antenna is:

An EHo-modep microstrip leaky-wave antenna with periodical loading of shorting pins.

Also I need to draw normalized propagation constant( dispersion curve ) vs frequency by using the 4 S complex parameters got from unit cell of our antenna.

The 4 S complex parameters (S11, S12, S21, S22)text files exported from CST are saved in xlsx format(Excel) like S.xlsx and open it by using matlab m-file with xlsread command like S_complex_paramete = xlsread('S.xlsx')

And by using the formula:

Gamma=1/T*acosh(((1-S(1,1)*S(2,2)+S(1,2)*S(2,1)))/2/S(2,1))

We can got normalized propagation constant:

Betha /Ko= imag(gamma)/Ko.

Alpha/Ko=real(gamma)/Ko. 

and we can plot normalized propagation constant vs frequency.
