To prepare 1 liter stock 1 solution for MS medium, following constituents were added: (NH4)2 SO4 33g; KNO3 38g; CaCl2 0.88g, MgSO4 7.4g, KH2PO4 3.4g. Here ammonium nitrate NH4NO3 is replaced with ammonium sulphate (NH4)2 SO4. on doing so, it was observed that there is formation of precipitate into the stock immediately. looking forward, for the replacement of ammonium nitrate as well as what precaution, must be taken to avoid precipitate formation on adding ammonium sulphate  while preparing stock 1 solution for MS media.
