Dear Sohrab, Perhaps you are under the impression that research is simply finding and copying what other people have written. This is not so.
If you are writing your first (or subsequent) research article, you need to be 100% safe in ensuring that you do not plagiarise. This means simply:
1. Keeping perfect records of where you got all your reference material from.
2. When writing, every time you quote OR paraphrase any snippet of this material, you simply cite the source. It is really that easy! It only requires a disciplined mind.
(You will paraphrase only if you believe that you can rewrite better than the original author, otherwise quote, using quotation marks. Do not believe the Web sites that recommend paraphrasing purposely to disguise the source of your material. Remember that copying even ideas without revealing the source is plagiarism.)
So, you should early get into the good habit of storing all your material and its bibliographic detail in a personal library like that supplied free by Qiqqa. Then, if you want to double check that nobody has used a phrase before, you simply search your whole library for that phrase. You can triple check by also searching on the Web.
Plagiarism must be avoided at any cost. Be original and write in an original way. This is the only way to be a good researcher and be proud of your on writings.
user should look out "Plagiarism report" what content are showing in plagiarism. if you have written your own thoughts than i don't think that plagiarism is a issue.
Agreed with answers and suggestions made on this question. Furthermore it is advisable to check the similarity index of your manuscript by any professional software available for this purpose.
