I almost have got your idea. Maybe for cultural recognition or west-east difference, Chinese ancient philosophy was hard to push to all the other parts of the World. Comparing with the mainstream civilization style—Christian civilization, Chinese philosophy gives an opposite opinion of harmony, difference-coexist, peace.

There are many great values in Chinese Philosophy. For example, Confucianism and Sun Tze's Art of War. There are quite a lot of established Schools of Confucianism globally including western countries promoting the value of education, ethic and moral. For Sun Tse's Art of War, it have been applied in business and military (including US's West Point) throughout the world. Lao Tse's Tao Te Ching has important influence to both contemporary Asian and Western philosophies and values of life too. I believe it is not that China is not selling the value. By going through the past history, China has never forcing its philosophy, culture and value to others. They are doing it in a soft approach by mean of influencing others to adopt and adapt to their philosophy, culture and value. For example, Japan and Korea have been influenced substantially by the Chinese philosophy although it has been localised to suit their needs.
actually china and india has been showing their philosophical caliber since ancient time. but in india chinese philosophy is not a part of university curriculum.
In fact, both should be included under Eastern Philosophy. Ancient Indian religion has significant influences to the Eastern theology, philosophy and culture. Especially the ancient scriptures like Vedas and Upanishads, they have indirect influences to the founding of early Buddhism. Subsequently, Buddhism has influenced the China's religion, culture and philosophy. Both Indian and Chinese philosophy have great wisdom and knowledge that we should learn from.
