I have a MJ research PT-100 thermo cycler that's not working. The electrician told me that a need to replace the peltier cell. He calculated the the peltier I need would need to have about 112w. I'm having problems to find a proper cell. Has anyone delt with such a problem that could give some help?

This sounds like a good challenge, but I am not sure how easy you can replace the peltier element. I wish you to succeed and recomment to check then carefully the temperatures in each hole of the cycler. How sure is the electrician that this is the wrong part? I once just had to soldered a 30 cent part, a film condensatoor, into my AC/heating controler, for which BMW wanted 1000 USD to completely replace it...
And: are you sure only the peltier element is not working? Good Luck.
PS: not sure if you can use those cheap ones available from an online market like eBay. There are 112W for about 10 - 100 USD
