Partitioned chi-square test- not very popular-Why?.Recently I suggested this for one of my students for his Thesis-with 2 by 2,2 by. 3,3 by 3 etc. applied on research data on diabetes and the causative factors. The results are encouraging.I think this area should be discussed and utilised-Any comments?
Nothing to add.That was my question .Sorry to say that nobody reacted to that question till date.The Thesis which I had mentioned applying this method was well appreciated by many in my Institute.
I do recommend the measure to some of my students. I think most people perceive it to be a simple measure since it doesn't require stringent conditions for it to be used. Often people prefer using other statistics that are seemingly more complex. However, chi-square can be used to test hypothesis and also strength of association between variables using chi-square based measurea such as farmer's V and Pearson's Coefficient of contingent.
