try to reduce the (size of the) WE' Area, A, by a factor, at least, 10 (Anew < A/10), and remeasure, the same, without some limitations[1] (current and/or power overloads[2]).

The active area of my work electrode (WE) is 1 cm2, do you think that it is large enough to cause the overlaod of the power amplifier?

I tried another work electrode (WE) with a lower active surface and which is equal to 0.35 cm2, but despite this, the message of the overload of the power amplifier is still displayed;

What do you think would be the cause,please?

since (that warning message for) 'overloading' inconvenience persists, even with a (somehow) lower (0.35 cm2) active surface working electrode (WE), then:

a) check the healthiness of your RE, and if it is, really, OK, then:

b) maybe you have to remake[1] the aged painting of your metallic conductor (e,g, the substrate for the WE).
