Scientists interested in Gamma spectrometry. I have written an open source Python program for Gamma spectrometry, it launches in your default browser and it is so easy to use you should not need the manual.
The program is compatible with any sound card spectrometer like the Gammaspectacular, as well as serial devices by Atom-Spectra.

We have recently added a bunch of new features to our Impulse MCA, it is now also compatible with high speed Atom-Nano and GS-MAX spectrometers.
Also a novel way to collaborate with other users and share your spectra to an Impulse user database.

I do not know exactly. But it seems unlikely that it is onyx because it usually has fine veins in its structure. I'm sorry I can't help you in this matter.
