Has anyone tested the efficacy of the new Qiagen gDNA Eliminator columns at removing bacterial genomic DNA from RNA preps (as part of the Qiagen RNeasy Plus kit)? Are they a lot better than their old On-Column DNase method?

There are several years since you had this question. I am interested, did you solve the problem? We faced with the same problem now, and I do not understand, if gDNA Eliminator columns remove bacterial DNA, or it would be better to treat samples with DNase?
