I am looking for non-steady equations that can explain calcite precipitation due to super-saturation in fresh water system. By non-steady state, I mean calcite precipitation from a water reservoir, whose chemical composition is not constant and changes with time. A Rayleigh fractionation should explain calcite precipitation from a freshwater system with fixed chemical composition. I will appreciate if you can help (or, suggest any reference) in understanding/developing equations for calcite precipitation (due to super-saturation) from a water system, whose composition varies.
