I have modelled a 16 storey RCC building in ETABS and performed non linear static analysis. But the analysis is found unfinished. I have reduced no. of storeys and increased number of null steps. But no use. Please help me to find out the reason?

If your linear static analysis cannot complete, there is probably something wrong in the model. I suggest doing the followings:
1 - Run an Eigenvector Modal analysis and go through the mode shapes. You may be able to see if if some members are not connected properly or are too flexible.
2 - Run the analysis with a Standard Solver option (Analyze/Advanced SAPFire Options - perhaps the path is not the same in V16.2.1 though). The analysis will still not converge, but you will have the nodes and their coordinates causing issues in the analysis log.
These methods show you where the problems are and you can go on fixing your model.

Instead of providing slab, give slab load on the beams. Also, remove bracings if provided. If bracing is required, you can assign axial hinges into it.
