Nowadays it is very difficult to buy ammonium nitrate (NH4)(NO3) for ion exchange in zeolites because of safety issue.
Which salt we can use for Ion exchange instead of Ammonium nitrate?
Does Ammonium sulfate or ammonium carbonate could be use?
If yes, please tell me which one is better for ion exchange?
Will these salts have any effect the acidity of catalyst?
Note: I have to Exchange of Na+ with NH4+

Just use HNO3 and NH3 to prepare NH4+ solution, then you can do ion exchange. We have used this procedure for years

Do not use sulfate or carbonate, some un-wanted precipitaions may occur
