Please can anyone help me, For a Social Psych undergraduate Assignment research study (quantitative) I have Come up with the idea of testing the attitudes and perceptions of the abilities of people with visible disabilities. I was going to use the ATDP scale to first establish a baseline of all participants. Then splitting participants by getting half to read a disabled person scenario and half to do the non-disabled person scenario involving a maths task (other ideas would be welcome). Then completing another ATDP to see how the scale has shifted. I’m not sure if this is the best scale to use.
Additionally, , I am confused as to how I should analyse this using SPSS and what test and why it would be right to use in this instance. I also am unsure how to report the test.
Any help or advice would be appreciated as this is my first research study that I have been allowed to choose and I want it to be right.

I have recently detected instruments for measuring attitudes (for teachers).
I can suggest you reading this quite recent review, so that you can be sure if the scale you chose is the one that fits best for your work:
Ewing, Donna & Monsen, Jeremy & Kielblock, Stephan. (2017). Teachers’ attitudes towards inclusive education: a critical review of published questionnaires. Educational Psychology in Practice. 34. 1-16.
Then, if you are not testing teachers', for which most scales are created, you can think about translating this very interesting scale (from German):

Then, last piece of advice: you said you are "testing the attitudes and perceptions of the abilities of people with visible disabilities", right?
You have plenty of scales available, so be sure that the one you choose is really measuring attitudes AND perception of ability, for the one I have found test only attitudes (and self-efficacy), for they are meant for teachers.
You have a great choice, you can choose the perfectly fitting one (hopefully)!
