Although there is a strong biopsychosocial bias that indicates a higher prevalence of periodontal disease in black transgender individuals, research involving the assessment of oral health in this population is still very insignificant. There is no published article evaluating periodontal disease in black transsexuals and transvestites that has been developed in Brazil.
