I`m just having difficulty to calculate RCT sample size, not good in statistic at all but I think I`m nearly there!
the RCT is about ankle fractures, 2 group of patient receive different treatment , an a priori power analysis for superiority of treatment for this hypnosis to detect a clinically significant 7 point difference on the MOAS score at 12 week . with standerd deviation of 10 and , alpha 0.05 and beta 0.90 and maximum loss of follow up 10%.
what will be the sample size and how it calculated.
