Doing my project on Review of routing protocols on VANETs. Which protocols particularly designed or modified for VANETs should i consider to do survey?
In general, MANET protocols would be the start, problem being that when rapid moving vehicles are the nodes, you'll frequently end up with broken routes. But the problem is otherwise the same.
I'd read through this MANET vs VANET comparison paper first. And then the second link is a survey of VANET protocols, pros and cons. They are from 2011 and 2013, respectively.

You might also go through the Internet Drafts in the IETF's MANET working group, to see when VANETs are mentioned explicitly. This will be your most up-to-date work.
