I model a beam for a shear failure analysis in Abaqus. but my model load deflection curve shows a high stiffness than the actual load deflection curve. i tried two models. but both have the same problem. i tried by changing the CDP many times. but the resultant curve showed a mostly similar behavior and far from the actual one. i checked the connection and boundary conditions. is there any affect from the load applying rate for this stiffness or any other issue ?
