I am trying to estimate the mutual coupling between adjacent elements in a metasurface using the model as specified in the IEEE AP Magazine paper titled " Investigations of the Effects of Mutual Coupling in Reflectarray Antennas".
I find difficulty in placing the lumped element attached to the discrete port. Could someone help model the lumped element to the discrete port and hence estimate the mutual coupling?

I am using student educational version. and trying to simulate a direct couple microstrip filter. The error like " Matrix calculation terminated abnormally" even in the built in examples occurred the same issue.

My primary understanding is, it is happening due to mesh size issue. Please see if the mesh size limit is exceeded. If possible, try to capture a screenshot of the error and warning messages and post it here. Thank you.

I can give you a conceptual answer.
If the meta surfaces are provided by ports then you can calculate Sij as a coupling coefficient between the meta surfaces.
