Hi, colleagues! I am designing a smaller, three-axis CNC router for processing soft materials, where the hardest work piece would be an aluminum board. I am currently calculating a shaft of the main motion (spindle shaft) and trying to determine the force which loads the shaft during cutting, in addition to the force that tightens the belt (see the attachments). There is also a tangential force at the top of a milling cutter. - So I'm interested in how to calculate the tangential (Ft) and radial (Fr) , during cutting aluminum with an 8 mm end mill with 4 flutes. (There is also an axial force, but my priority is radial).

I found some literature where is shown method to calculate these forces, but there are tables with coefficients and exponents related only to steel.(see the attachments) I didn't found any information related to aluminum cutting.

If anyone have these data, or some other methods, I would be extremely grateful to post.

Thank you.
