1- what is the relationship b/w the bandwidth and metamaterials patch antenna? why is the bandwidth extending ?
2- what is the relationship b/w the bandwidth and the capacitance?
3- are there principle equations to design the structure array that mounted on the patch as it is showing in the file below? if they are equations please provide them to me ?
4- explain the different b/w metamaterials and conventional patch antenna physically or theoretically ?

There is some basic difference between conventional and meta material microstrip antenna that is related to epsilon and permeability of material. Metamaterial antennas may be DNG, ENG, MNG or advance type like PBG (EBG), on which you can work. But, you have to first verify your epsilon and permeability with respect to frequency using plot. From there, you can verify your resonant frequency for your desirable antennas. Bandwidth relationship is approximately same as all other antennas, W = 2(fU − fL) ⁄ (fU + fL), or vary according to your metamaterial properties.

1. bandwidth of metamaterial loaded patch antennas may increase because with such loading the capacitive tance of the antenna input impedance are compendsated by the inductive reactance of that of the metamaterial or vice-versa, leading to extension in impedance bandwidth.
4. metamaterial structures are used in patch antennas to improve certain parameters with negative permeability or permittivity such as gain enhancement at a certain frequency or frequency band.
