Hydroxyl radicals are supposed to indiscriminately oxidize most organic compounds at nearly diffusion controlled rates. The ultimate product to be expected is carbon dioxide. But I haven't seen papers in which hydroxyl radicals are generated and CO2 is the final product. Is there any such paper?

Is there any work that shows A+OH* gives CO2? If it does what could be the mechanism?

Controlled batch reactor experimental results would be most helpful
