I'm conducting a research project ( quantitative study) on women entrepreneurs, and I'm particularly interested in measuring their motivation to start and grow their businesses. As such, I'm contacting you to seek advice on suitable methods for measuring motivation in this context.
I would be grateful if anyone who has experience working with women entrepreneurs or conducting research on this topic could share their insights on the most effective methods for measuring motivation.
I'm particularly interested in hearing about any established methods or tools successfully used to measure motivation for women entrepreneurs in the creative industries.

Hi Harish Jyawali , although I do not focus on gender, when I teach enterprise and entrepreneurial thinking I invoke a form of Maslow's needs theory to examine motivation. This could present a core set of 8 motivating factors which will vary across the population.
Others have used such an approach before, for example Chen, M.H., Chang, Y.Y., Wang, H.Y. and Chen, M.H., 2017. Understanding creative entrepreneurs’ intention to quit: The role of entrepreneurial motivation, creativity, and opportunity. Entrepreneurship Research Journal, 7(3). In this case, Maslow is used to look at the opposite of motivation to start, which is to quit--two sides of the same coin.
