The ability of a system, organization, or process to maintain or increase its performance over time while having no substantial negative effects on the environment, society, or economy is referred to as sustainable performance. e.g.: When a corporation implements sustainable methods in its operations to reduce its environmental impact while maintaining its financial stability. The capacity to fulfill what is needed now without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs is the broad idea of sustainability. e.g.: Sustainable agricultural practices. Sustainable development refers to methods for strengthening a long-term standard of living and economic prosperity without threatening the ability of present or future generations to adequately meet their requirements. e.g.: renewable energy.
