I am trying to ANN from MATLAB to train ANN on effect of interference of one ion on another, and then based on this training providing 'accurate results'. I am new to Machine Learning (my background is electro-chemistry, semiconductors, sensor fabrication). Could someone help me to find a good resource that does more explicit explanation of the process? I tried to do my own research, but I keep getting vague sources.

Instead of using inbuilt models from matlab. It would be advisable to use python ML libraries like tensorflow. The coding part provided it is a supervised learning problem is fairly simple. You can google, the terms CNN using tensorflow.. etc to get a fair idea. Feel free to contact in case any further doubt persist.
First of all you need dataset, containg input and output.
then you have to train NN with your data to find relationship between input and output.
then you can use trained NN to predict new data set's output.
But remember this, before using trained NN in real situations you must make sure it works well.
to do this you have to put NN in a situations similar to real situation.
so to this, you have to devide dataset into traning and testing part.
Then, train NN with train data, then test it with test data, the data that wasn't used in training process.
after you make sure that it works well, you can use it in real situations.
