There exists more than one type of Mandarin tone sandhi.
The most basic is the Tone 3 possibly changing to Tone 2 under certain conditions.
Also, there is the half tone phenomenon.
Is there some place that assembles descriptions of all these things?
I know of some of the work of Duanmu San, Zhiming Bao, Moira Yip, and Yuenren Chao. Are there other bodies of related work?
See Jie Zhang's work (especially Zhang 2010 in Language & Linguistics Compass and Zhang & Lai 2010 in Phonology) on various sandhis in standard Mandarin and other Mandarin dialects; see also Yi Xu's work (especially Xu 1997) on phonetic tonal coarticulation.

Please see some theoretical discussion in Xu (2004) and computational modeling in Xu & Prom-on (2014). The modeling work confirms previous finding that tone sandhi does not merge T3 to T2 entirely in production, although they are perceptually non-distinct from each other in perception (Peng 2000, Wang & Li 1967)
