Both Dirac and Majorana equations are identical by form. But imposing electric neutrality condition on Majorana spinors results in absolutely different physics.
Why is that? Is it charge conjugation operator that breaks down all spinors into separate classes: Dirac, Majorana and Weyl? Or maybe something else?

No, Murod, Dirac and Majorana equetions are not identical by form, except in case when the Majorana spinor is equal to its own conjugate.

you are on the right track, it has to do with the charge. If we consider the Dirac and Majorana equation as equations for the propagation of single particles in field-free Minkowsky space, they are unitarily equivalent i.e. two versions of the same physical theory with the same predictions concerning measurements of energy, momentum, spin, and position. If we enlarge the scope of our theory by letting Minkowsky space carry a 4-vector electromagnetic potential field, the well-known mechanism of 'minimal electromagnetic coupling' works for the Dirac equation under the assumption that particles carry charge wheras no charge ia allowed for the Majorana equation. So the difference becomes effective only in a wider physical framework.
