I am looking for papers, books, articles, etc on the real estate industry from a gender perspective. I wish to find out about the 'cause and effect' of perceived disparities in the industry between the male and female gender in real estate.
Any recommendations and advise are highly welcome.
Why not begin with the literature on discrimination in whatever dimension you find it, and apply the methods to gender. For example:

Thank you for your feedback, Peter F. Colwell . I will find literature along those lines and download the paper. I am specifically researching the gender disparities in the real estate professions and not necessarily when it comes to real estate investment/purchases.
The same methodology can be used regardless of the commodity or services examined. Sorry that I do not currently have a copy of my paper that I can share. Perhaps your library has an interlibrary loan system that you can use.

James E. Larsen, I have! I am looking at exploring why there are fewer women in commercial real estate and the technical side of the profession. A 2013 report stated that the CRE industry is 'the least diverse industry in the planet'.
