You can look for journals in Pharmacy category in SCImago Journal & Country Rank (see link below). It’s a free access portal developed by SCImago Research Group that presents bibliometric information of Scopus database journals. You can select the category in which you're interested, see the position of journals that belongs to the category into quartiles. Besides the scope of journal and its impact, there are other important indicators as percentage of international collaboration, percentage of self-citations, etc.

I agree with Prof. Teodoro S Kaufman. If your research work is worthwhile, donot go for open access journals. Although you may get the higher citations (low reputed journals) in open access but most open access journals are online and you are not sure that your article will be there in 2020.

Its true that most OA journals lack the reputation and quality, yet charge a publication fee from authors. Therefore the idea for British Journal of Pharmacy. It's fully peer reviewed and published by university press and articles are archived by Portico and Google Scholar, soon shall be by PubMed Central. Hence a peace of mind for long term availability of published work.

The question as to why publish OA, has valid reasons not only the citation counts:

Most of EU and US research is funded by public funds and new regulations made it compulsory to publish OA all research funded by national bodies. General public have the right to read any research outcome funded by public money. 

Also, developing nations can't afford to pay subscription charges in most instances and therefore cant access majority of scientific literature. One example is malaria research. the disease is most abundant in Africa and yet they have no access to malarial research mostly funded by charities and public grants to support malaria. 

Journals where we usually publish reserve the full copyrights and even authors have no rights to distribute their published work in most cases. They have a option for OA, which they charge somewhere $1000 to $4000 depending on how reputable the journal is.

How to know that journal are free for apc or not?

The journal website is the best place to look for APC.

I can confirm that the BJPharm has no APC and it's fully free to both authors and its readers.

Any possibility of the BJPharm being listed in Scopus? I have found some very good quality papers in there and agree that BJPharm is a good journal.

Yes, hopefully in couple of years. All new journals takes a while to gather enough metrics to get into databases. We have plans to get into PubMed and Scopus both, and also DOAJ
