Apart from the long term impact of climate change and the famous sea level rising that will affect several regions globally .. can global warming and associated impacts such as temperature rising and some possible drier weather conditions result in an extreme scenarios that will hit harder in specific regions?
i have listened to prof Brooks interesting speech about emerging diseases due to climate change .. and the thing that came to my mind .. what if the rising temperature in some regions will be enough to provide necessary environment for some specific evolution of some unexpected of some type of creatures (plant, animal, virus, bacteria .... ) .. i dont want to sound like a sci fi writer .. but this can be a possibility .. has this been investigated .. are there areas with (with fragile ecosystem) that can be exposed to certain type (s) of threat (s) due to climate change?

Hello Nidal; Your speculation has already happened. I live in Southern California where two new mosquitoes now are common. The Asian Tiger Mosquito, Aedes albopictus vector diseases that didn't used to occur here. Culex quinquefasciatus vectors West Nile Virus and the range of the mosquito is expanding. This year several people have died from that infection. These range extensions can be directly attributed to the changing climate here. Best regards, Jim Des Lauriers
I also support wholeheartedly all of your speculations regarding effect of global warming, many more new things may appear and these are not astonishing at all. There are two burning example already given above by Dr J. D. Lauriers and Dr K.Khafagi.

James Des Lauriers it is scary .. because if you look at it .. the two scary examples that you have mentioned coupled with Khaled al Khafaji example of what i know is a very fragile ecosystem are just the tip of the iceberg .. a more horrifying scenarios can develop as indicated by Phani Bhusan Ghosh
