Dear Colleagues,
If |0>, |1>, .... are the eigen states of a system, then the total wave function of the system is
|Ψ> = A|0> + B|1>+ ......
Thes coefficients mean the weight factors of different eigen states.
DOES THESE COEFFICIENTS MEAN THE COUPLING BETWEEN THE STATES?
Please discuss this concept.

I don't think so. They just mean the root probability that they will be found in that state. |0> and |1> can both be combinations of other states, for instance they may be V and H, which are combinations of as right hand circular polarization and left hand circular polarization, but that doesn't mean they are coupled.

No it does not mean coupling of states. It just means imperfect information about your system.
