In the Solomon Islands, a number of different terms and understandings are used. Some of these are dated, some are disputed in other countries or contexts; but all of them are found in current documents and general discourse within the context I am working.

I am interested in people's different perspectives on the most appropriate language to use in terms of Inclusive Educational Practice.
In my opinion, Children/learners with disabilities and special learning needs, this is most appropriate.
Students with special abilities is a positive term focusing on their abilities not disabilities; this concept shows that they have some special abilities requiring special policies and strategies.
