Dear Sir,

I am a senior intensivist and member of the Anaesthetic Department here at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne and am writing as a grateful new user of keppra. It was commenced as monotherapy following an unheralded grand mal seizure and emergency craniotomy last December. I remain well and have made a complete recovery and Keppra has been extremely well tolerated. I am at a loss to find the meaning of its name. All the pharmaceutical resources I have had access to ignore this issue.

As a principal investigator, could you please oblige me with the answer?

Kind regards and best wishes for an amazing therapeutic advance!

Dr. Andrew Ross
