I have the opportunity to collaborate on a paper focusing on the Local Ecological Knowledge of an wild harvested indigenous crop. The study will focus on describing the phenotypes and testing the genetic distinctness of wild eco-types that have been identified by local harvesters. A key focus of the study will be highlighting the importance of conserving these unique eco-types from genetic pollution through nearby commercial cultivation. I'm not entirely familiar with the LEK literature and will be doing the genetic side of the study, so my question is; what journals would suit a study of this nature?

The genetic data set is likely to consist of around 46 samples taken from between five and ten populations and two cpDNA regions and the nuclear ITS region will be screened.

Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Nicholas
