Methods we used involved alkaline conditions with electric charge held for 8 days and produced inconsistent results. Is there a better defined method to do this? I'm thinking it may involve catalytic poisoning. Work done has had other people storing samples in LN2 to keep hydrogen from diffusing out of the steel surface. I disagree with this process as interlaticed hydrogen would be forced out by lattice contraction under low temps. Any insight or direction would be appreciated.
